2022 Tournament Report

The Tournament

The Old Thorns course was in fabulous condition for the practice day on the Sunday and the sun shone.

On Monday the sun stayed out for the tournament day so after breakfast and coffee we tee’d off mid morning.

It would appear that during the round some of our celebrities had an intriguing time prior to the gala dinner that night.

Chris Villiers (Emmerdale amongst many TV/Film roles) seems to need help building his team with Adger Brown, our after-dinner speaker.

Alistair Petrie (Night Manager, Star Wars, Sherlock) seemed to be looking in the wrong direction for his shot.

Chair Presentations

After the golf some of the local families and children came to the event to meet their donors for tea. It’s a heart felt moment when you meet the kids who have such a positive outlook on life and the pleasure they get from using their powered chairs for the first time.

Gala Dinner

The day rounded up with our gala dinner where player, donors, and guests enjoyed many golfing stories of the mysterious borrows of the course and the controlled fades that became a slice.

After dinner, Adger was his usual entertaining self, taking no prisoners.
